Trick-Or-Treating at the Zoo!

Georgia & Christopher in thier costumes!
Give me more candy!
KSU Women's Basketball Team were there to hand out candy.
Baby James is not so excited about trick-or-treating.
Halloween is one of my favorite times of year. I love the Fall and all the changes that are happening. Christopher, James Jr. and I have been on many walks lately as Christopher explores the acorns, leaves, pinecones and sticks he finds on the ground. His favorite thing is leaves. He loves to find new ones and loves all the variety of shapes, sizes and colors. It really is beautiful and amazing and I love thinking about the world through his eyes. God has created such beautiful landscaping for us!
This Sunday, October 27th, we went with Renee and her kiddos to the Sunset Zoo for Spooktacular, an event where the kids Trick-or-Treat as they walk around the zoo. It was chilly, but a good time. It was so cute to see all of the toddlers in thier little costumes! We had such an action packed weekend and I finally wore Christopher out! (success!) He loved collecting candy and we are looking forward to going out this Friday evening too! I had so much fun this weekend and feel so BLESSED that God gave me these beautiful little boys to care for! I love being thier mommy!

Our Day at the Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, October 25th, we went to Britt's Pumpkin Patch with Lisa and Renee (nene as Christopher says) and thier kiddos. We had a blast! There was a petting zoo with farm animals, a bouncer and obstacle course for the kids, a hayrack ride, corn maze and then we got to pick our own pumpkins from the field! It was a great day!

Grandma Beth talking to Christopher while he is lining up for his first big race.
Christopher was so proud with his race number and race packet!
Our Family after the race - notice Christopher's medal & the way he already torments his baby brother... poor baby James!
Christopher was so excited to run in his first race on Sunday, September 28th. We all got up super early on Sunday to get him there on time to be registered and line up for the race - the things we do for our kids (and grandkids, Grandma Betha and Grandpa Lindy). It was called a "tot trot" and was only for children ages 2-4. It was short and a bit unorganized, but Christopher was very proud of himself. All of the children got medals for particpating. He is our little athlete in training!

My First Blog

This is my first blog! Hopefully this will be a fun way to keep family and friends updated on how the boys are growing up. Everyday Christopher says and does something new and entertaining. James Jr. is growing so big each day and just turned 4 months old on Monday already! I love watching my boys grow up and enjoy sharing it with others, so I hope you like my new blog site!
